The A-team defense came out strong right away in the first 10-play period for the Bears this weekend. Landyn Clifford had an eight-yard tackle for loss, while Zayden Martin and Connor Hicks each recorded tackles. Laden Nolan also had a five-yard tackle for loss, and Martin and Hicks each added another tackle. Gavin Brown then made a big play by intercepting a pass. Landyn Clifford finished the drive with a pass breakup.
On offense, Canton started moving the ball quickly. Landyn Clifford broke off a 45-yard run. Mak Brassard then scored on a 20-yard touchdown run. Connor Hicks added a 3-yard run, followed by a 7-yard run from Gavin Brown. Hicks then broke loose for a 55-yard touchdown run. Mak Brassard also had a 12-yard pass to Landyn Clifford, and Connor Hicks added a 25-yard run. The drive ended with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Mak Brassard to Gavin Brown.
The B-team defense kept the momentum going in their own 10-play period. Blaze Harris, Jackson Dawley, and David TeRiele all made tackles, while Ryder Peets recovered a fumble that was forced by Nolan Archer. Cameron Villnave also added a tackle.
The B-team offense had some big plays, too. Ben Bristol started things off with a 35-yard run, and Landon Huntley followed it up with a 38-yard touchdown run. Laden Nolan added a field goal before Ryder Peets connected with Huntley for a two-yard pass. Nolan Archer then picked up eight yards rushing, and Ben Bristol added a 19-yard run. Landon Huntley finished the drive with a 60-yard touchdown run, and Mak Brassard added a field goal.
Canton’s B-team defense continued making plays as the game went on into the third quarter. Jackson Dawley, Jaxon Shippee, Landon Huntley, David TeRiele, Blaze Harris, and Ellie Murdock all picked up tackles of their own. Gaige Timm, Miles Coakley and Cameron Villnave all tallied two tackles each aswell.
B-team offense came in before the third quarter expired. Nolan Archer had a 15-yard run, followed by a 20-yard run from Zayden Martin before the quarter ended.
The Bears A-team came in ready as Landyn Clifford added a 2-yard reception from Mak Brassard, and then Brassard ran for a 30-yard touchdown and Laden Nolan added a field goal to end the drive.
The defense came right back with another big play when Zayden Martin intercepted a pass. Landyn Clifford then caught a 10-yard pass from Mak Brassard, Connor Hicks added a 16-yard run and Mak Brassard scored on a 21-yard touchdown run. Brassard also added another field goal.
To finish the game, Gabe Sogoian, Landyn Clifford, and Mak Brassard all made defensive plays, and Zayden Martin came up with another interception before the bears kneeled out the clock.
