At Saturday’s home opener for the Golden Bears against St. Lawrence Central, senior David Seymour received the Crusher Award for the 2026 season.

The Crusher Award is presented in honor of Josh Ayrassian ’03, celebrating not just athletic ability, but qualities that truly define a great teammate and person. The award recognizes a player who is strong in the classroom, a leader among peers, and someone who lifts others up both on and off the field. Through this award, Josh’s legacy lives on – in dedication, character and the spirit of the player who receives it. The recipient of this award wears No. 3, as Josh did.

Seymour, a merger player from Colton-Pierrepont Central School, is the lynchpin of the Bears defense. He is committed to SUNY Cortland next season.
