Bears Football Caps Off season in dominant fashion in Class A championship

After a quick 3 and out on the first drive of the day for St. Lawrence Central, a tailback dive to Hayden Towle, who has been a steady presence in the backfield all season. Daniel Richardson scored on the next drive on a slant ensuing a fumble on the 2nd drive for the Larries and the Bears looked like they would run away with it, and run away with it they did.

The next score came midway through the second quarter when Parker Hurlbut, a senior for the bears scored his first touchdown of the year on a skinny post in the redone, and this was not a surprising occurrence, as his big, tight end like body lined up close to the line results in a big red zone target. About a minute and a half later, Ryan Faunce, the star 2 way senior for the Bears who scored their two touchdowns against OFA a week ago got into the touchdown party with a red zone touchdown of his own. Following that, 2 more Bears got into the end zone; John Gidney and T.J. O’Brien to make it a 42-0 lead at halftime and the Bears were on their way to a Class A Section X championship

The first score of the third quarter came when Owen Matthews, a senior playing his first season of football ran in a 9 yard end around for the touchdown. Austin Gregori scored his first touchdown of the game, and Hayden Towle scored it second to make a 61-8 victory and a class A championship for the Golden Bears. This marked the last game of the season for the Bears, as the champion of section X Class A does not proceed to the state playoff, but the Bears finish off the season 4-3 in a good second year for Coach Rico Dobbs and his staff.
