The Canton Varsity cross country team had another successful week of competition. The athletes are preparing for the upcoming interdivisionals and sectionals as their season begins to wrap up.
On Tuesday, October 14th, the team traveled to Tupper Lake for a league meet against the rest of Section X.
In the girls race, Lena Frank placed 14th with a time of 23:29. JessieJean Coffin ran the race in 23:49. Addison Ragan completed the race in 25:39.
On the boys side, Cedric Harper placed tenth with a time of 18:06. Zachary Lyndaker ran the race in 18:23. Duncan Harper finished in 19:15. Carson White ran a time of 20:22. Elijah Williams completed the course in 21:42.

On Saturday, October 18th, Canton traveled to the Beaver River Invitational. This meet included many of the Section X teams, as well as Carthage, Watertown, Thousand Islands, South Jefferson, and General Brown.
Overall, the team ran well, with multiple athletes beating their personal records.
In the girls race, Lena Frank ran the race in 23:07. JessieJean Coffin completed the course in 23:20. Addison Ragan finished in 24:58. Ashlan Foster ran the race in 25:11.
On the boys side, Zachary Lyndaker was the top boys finisher, placing 16th with a time of 17:56. Cedric Harper placed 18th, running an 18:01. Duncan Harper finished in 19:09. Carson White ran the race in 19:47. Elijah Williams finished in 20:52.
On Tuesday, October 22nd, Canton will host their last home meet of the season and honor their graduating senior, Duncan Harper.
