Canton 8, Tupper Lake 0
On Wednesday evening, Jan. 15, the Canton Golden Bears delivered a commanding performance, defeating the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks 8-0 in a home game at the Canton Pavilion.

The Golden Bears quickly established dominance on the ice with a goal from Owen Logan just minutes into the game. Their offensive prowess was on full display, as they consistently pressured the Lumberjacks defense, leading to multiple scoring opportunities.
Later in the first period senior Caleb Hartman buried his first of the game off of a rebound. Just before the buzzer sounded, freshman Thomas Creurer netted his first of the game with a rifling wrist shot.
The second period saw much of the same with Canton scoring three more goals to bring their lead to six.
The Golden Bears decided to mix it up in the third with some different line combinations. This ended up working for the Bears as the offensive fire power continued, with Matt Holbrook and Josh Aryassian respectively earning goals.
Goaltender Griffin Coakley earned his first career shutout with an impressive 10 save night.

Canton 3, Norwood-Norfolk 0
The Canton Golden Bears secured a decisive 3-0 victory over the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers in a thrilling showdown at the Canton Pavilion on Saturday.

From the opening faceoff, Canton set the pace of the game with aggressive forechecking and crisp puck movement, yet the offense was not quite clicking.
After a frustrating first period filled with hits and possible fights, the Golden Bears came out hot for the second stanza.
The first goal came midway through the second, as forward Thomas Creurer rifled a wrist shot just below the goaltender’s pad. The goal electrified the home crowd and gave Canton an edge over the Flyers.
The second period saw the Golden Bears ramp up their defensive efforts, frustrating Norwood-Norfolk’s attempts to gain offensive momentum. Goalie Gavin Schryver was a wall in the net, making crucial saves and keeping the Flyers off the board.
Late in the third period, Canton’s Grady Nee sniped a no-look snap shot top shelf, doubling the lead. As the third period winded down, the Flyers intensified their efforts, but the Golden Bears’ defense held firm. With 6.2 seconds remaining, Josh Aryassian sealed the deal with a long range empty netter, bringing the final score to 3-0.
The team’s focus now shifts to their next matchup, where they’ll aim to build on this momentum and maintain their dominant form.
