In a hard-fought volleyball match on Tuesday night, the Bears suffered a 3-1 loss to class C rivals, Madrid-Waddington. Despite a promising start, the Bears were unable to sustain momentum, eventually falling in four sets: 25-21, 15-25, 20-25, and 22-25.
Strong Start for the Bears
The Bears came out strong in the first set, displaying solid teamwork and aggressive plays at the net, they managed to edge out the Yellow Jackets with a narrow 25-21 win.

Yellow Jackets Take Control
However, Madrid-Waddington regrouped quickly in the second set. Their defense tightened, and their middle blockers proved difficult for the Bears to get past.
The third set saw a back-and-forth battle with both teams exchanging points, but the Bears struggled with unforced errors. A series of missed serves and miscommunications on defense gave the Yellow Jackets the edge, allowing them to take the third set 25-20.
Bears’ Rally Falls Short
The fourth set was dominated by the Yellow Jackets as they sealed their victory with a 25-22 fourth set win.
The loss drops the Bears to 4-9 on the season. They’ll look to bounce back in their next match against the Sandstoners on Thursday.
