In an intense and competitive match, the Bears volleyball team fought valiantly but ultimately fell to the Eagles with a 3-1 scoreline. The Bears displayed great determination, keeping the contest close and showcasing their resilience throughout.
From the first serve, it was clear the game would be a battle. The Eagles came out strong, taking the first set 25-12. However, the Bears refused to back down, clawing their way back to win the second set 25-19.
The third set saw the Eagles regain control with a 25-20 victory, despite strong defensive efforts from the Bears. In the fourth set, the Bears gave everything they had, but the co-ed Eagles team managed to close out the match 25-22, sealing the 3-1 win.
Although the result didn’t go their way, the Bears showed tremendous heart and teamwork. It was the freshmen that led the team in last night’s match with Zoey Zebedee having 6 assists and 12 service points and middle Elle White racking up 14 kills, 7 blocks and 4 digs. The young Bears team will look to build on this performance and come back stronger in their next game against Madrid-Waddington on Tuesday, October 22nd.
