Canton Modified Cross Country Races Last Meet of the Season at Brushton-Moira

On Oct. 17, the Canton modified cross country team ran its last race of the season at Brushton-Moira Central School. Everyone gave it their all on the 1.7 mile course.

Canton competed against Malone and Brushton-Moira. The temperature was ideal for racing; a bit chilly with overcast skies. During the boy’s race, Cedric Harper placed second, running an 11:15. Parker Smith ran the course in 12:29, placing fourth. In fifth place was Zachary Lyndaker, who ran a 12:41. In an exciting finish, Brendan Todd and Daniel Noble finished with just one second between them. Brendan placed seventh with a time of 13:18 and Daniel placed eighth with a time of 13:19.

On the girls team, Jillian Richarson took first place, with a time of 12:29. Addison Ragan came in fifth with a time of 14:11. Ashlan Foster finished in sixth place with a time of 14:16. The athletes reported to enjoy the course and are pleased with the results from their final meet. They are excited for next season.
