Girls Varsity Lacrosse sweeps games

Canton 7, Saranac Lake Placid 4

The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team handled business as usual this previous week, defeating Saranac Lake Placid with ease, as the final score of the game was seven to four and jumping to 11-1 on the season.

The Bears picked up their first win of the week in this contest, giving them some momentum as they are nearing playoffs. In this game multiple younger players stepped up to the plate and handled business for Canton as they had a couple of veteran players missing. Maddie Ayrassian and Sara Aldous were both instrumental in this win for the Bears. Chipping in two goals each, Olivia Francey continued her impressive season campaign with two goals and two assists on the night. And Megan Martin rounded out the scoring for the Bears on this night, netting a goal. Ella Mousaw was dishing out the ball really well in this game, with three assists of her own. Canton is really starting to put it all together as a team with playoffs right around the corner.

Canton 11, Plattsburgh 7

The Bears clinched an undefeated week of play, with a win on Wednesday night against the Hornets. The final score of this game was 11 to seven in favor of the Golden Bears.

Canton had a solid game against the Hornets, and this win propelled their overall record to 12-1 on the season. Just half a game back from league leading Salmon River, who has played 14 games to Cantons 13. The Bears is really meshing well as a team as the Section X Regular Season is winding down.
