Canton 11, Plattsburgh 2
The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team came out of Plattsburgh victorious on Wednesday night, with an 11-2 win over the Hornets. Canton dominated all parts of this game. Whether it be face-offs, ground balls or hustle, the Bears dominated it. This grit and hard work ultimately was what won the game for the Bears.
For Canton that night it was like shooting fish in a barrel, with Josh Ayrassian leading the Bears in the goal category, netting four goals of his own to propel Canton to the win.
Ethan Francey also chipped in two goals as well as three assists.
Daniel Creurer was like a Swiss army knife for the Bears in this game, dominating face-offs, ground balls and being a pest of defense, leading to only a two goal performance for the Hornets.
Owen Hall for the Bears was a rock on defense, laying many big body checks and having a vocal presence as the leader of this Bears defense.
Canton had two goalies play in this game, Garritt Palmer, who started the game and let in only two goals with eight saves, and Garret O’shea, who had a shutout in the fourth quarter, with four saves total. The Bears are looking to build off of this momentum as they head into a tough stretch of season coming up.
