Canton 56, Tupper Lake 33

The Golden Bears claimed their second straight Class C Championship on Friday in Maxcy Hall in front of a packed house. The final score of the contest was 56-33 in favor of the Bears.

To start the game the Bears came out hot and never looked back, just piling it onto the Lumberjacks to start the game. Canton gained an 8-0 margin to start the game and kept this lead for the remainder of the game as well.

The Bears were up 13 points at halftime and with great efforts and performances from players such as Elias Synder, Vincent Nelson-Fuse and Ryan Jones the Bears were able to put this game away and out of reach for the Lumberjacks. Canton was gifted a bye this year for the state playoff bracket, as each year the bye rotates from section to section. Section VII and Section II will battle it out to see who faces the Bears in the state playoffs for a trip to the final four on the line.
