Canton 3, SLC 2

The Bears won a thriller on Saturday afternoon in the Canton Pavilion, with the final score of the contest being 3-2 in favor of the Golden Bears. The victory gave them their third win of the season and some momentum as playoffs are around the corner.

The Bears came out of the tunnel with a bit of a cold start like a diesel truck on a winter morning. They dug themselves a hole, getting down two goals to nothing about a period and a half into the game. Then Canton fired back with two goals of their own, scored by Drew Blevins and Jacob Rosales.

Then in the final period of the game it was shot after shot and both goalies were playing solid and not letting anything in. Then Canton came up shorthanded and it looked bad, but when Senior Nate Romano skated down the ice and ripped a slapshot on net just hoping to give Daniel Creurer a break in net it ended up trickled in after being deflected. Canton rejoiced but it was cut short, as the goal was called offsides and taken off the scoreboard.

Then shortly after the rescinded effort, the Bears scored a goal that stayed up on the board and won them the game. Junior Brandon O’Shea scored the go-ahead goal for the Bears that secured them the win. Then over the remaining allotted amount of time Daniel Creurer stood strong in net and secured his team the win.
