The Canton wrestling team kicked off its match against Ogdensburg by honoring their four seniors in their last regular season home match. The seniors include Noah Curry at 110 (4-year wrestler), Nick Locy at 138 lbs (4-year varsity member), Ezra Williams at 126 lbs (Potsdam, 3-year varsity member), and Mikey Cogdill 189/215 lbs (4-year varsity member).
Canton’s Charlie Rossner had the only win by pin for the Bears at 172 pounds. Ezra Williams followed up with a nail biting 10-9 point decision victory at 126 pounds while Jack Joyce (160 pounds) had a similar story with a one-point win over his Ogdensburg opponent 2-1 in points. Connor Clifford was the final win for the Bears at 132 pounds with a decisive 12-5 win. Another impressive performance from Michael Cogdill left him just short of defeating the reigning Section X champ 6-2 in points. The Bears ended up with the win closing out the Blue Devils 39-21.
