On Tuesday evening at Jefferson Community College Canton 42, South Jefferson 13
The Canton girls JV Basketball team traveled to Watertown Tuesday night to play South Jeff at JCC. The young Bears jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 42-13 victory.
Tessa Alguire led the Cubs in scoring with 11 points and was followed up by the Bullock cousins, Sara Aldous and Jenna Larrabee who each had 8 points.
“Playing at JCC was a lot of fun and a nice experience for the girls. It was a nice team win. Jenna Larrabee was again tough on the boards and Elle White (7th grader) has started to gain some confidence and had a nice game tonight on the big court. “I like how things are starting to come together for everyone”,
stated Coach Wentworth.
The girls will be back on the road on Thursday when they will make the trip to Malone to square off with the Huskies. Tip Off is scheduled for 5:30pm.
