The Hobart College men’s ice hockey team recently presented the Help Sami Kick Cancer Foundation a donation of $2,250 as part of a fundraiser the team ran on Dec. 30 and 31.

The team raised the money through various initiatives during a  modified round-robin weekend they co-hosted with Elmira College.

The money was raised as part of Hobart hockey’s “Hockey Helpers” program, a community service initiative founded by Hobart hockey alumnus Ryan Adler ’09.

Anytime the Hobart hockey team begins a charitable venture, players and coaches do so under Hobart’s wing of Hockey Helpers.

Hobart’s men’s hockey coach, Mark Taylor, is a Canton native and close friend of Help Sami Kick Cancer Foundation founder Jim Curtis.
