The Varsity Volleyball season ended on Saturday, November 12 in Massena. In the first round of the state tournament, they faced off against a strong Galway team. Unfortunately, their hopes of advancing were blown away after losing three sets to zero on Saturday night’s contest.

The first set of the game was back and forth and came down to the wire but unfortunately the Bears lost the first set 25-22 and went down one set to zero overall in the game. In the second set Canton put up a good fight but the firepower of Galway was just too much for them to handle as they lost the second set 25-16. The third set finished with a final score of 25-11 and ended the game, with the final tally being three sets to zero in favor of Galway as they advanced in the state tournament.
Ava Hoy showed why she was the MVP of the section in this game, with an impressive stat line of 17 kills, five digs, three points and one block. Also Katie Metcalf with nine digs, five points, and four assists. Finally Laurel Whittier with 10 assists, three points and two digs. The Bears finish off the season 18-3 and with only losing four seniors this team has a very bright future.
