Canton 3, Tupper Lake 0
The Bears started off the week on a good note as they came home with a win after travelling to Tupper Lake to face the Lumberjacks. Winning three sets to zero. This win adds to the Bears resume and makes them 8-1 overall on the season.

Canton controlled all aspects of the game, whether it be kills, digs or points Canton was taking charge, winning three sets to zero in dominant fashion. The team played as a well-oiled machine, with four players on the team notching above five service points and three players with five or more aces. Ava Hoy led the charge with 11 kills, 10 service points, five aces and four blocks, Senior Olivia Sero with 12 service points and six aces and finally Katie Metcalf with 15 service points, eight digs, five aces and two kills to round it out for the Bears.
Chateaugay 3, Canton 2
The Bears battled the Bulldogs in a tough matchup on Oct. 6 in Chateaugay. Canton eventually lost the contest three sets to two in a hard fought battle.
Canton got off the bus asleep as the Bulldogs dominated Canton 25-11 in the first set of the evening. And although it looked to be that Canton was in trouble they battled back in the following two sets, winning both. Set two they overpowered Chateaugay 25-17 and in the third they won 25-20. In the fourth set it was a back and forth the whole time and it ended up going into extra time, with Chateaugay winning the set to make it an even 2-2 in the matchup. The fifth and final set is played to 15 instead of 25, and in the final set Chateaugay just overpowered Canton to push their way to victory and drop the Bears record to 8-2.
Notable stats for the Bears in the loss to Chateaugay are as follows: Laurel Whittier 32 assists, nice service points and three digs. Ava Hoy with 25 kills, 14 service points and five aces and finally Katie Metcalf with 16 digs, 14 service points, seven kills and three aces.
Although the Bears fall to 8-2 on the season they had a solid performance that they can build off of as they head into next week.
