Varsity Swimming stays Perfect

On Sept. 30, the Bears varsity swim team traveled to Massena to take on the Red Raiders. The Bears came out victorious, winning against Massena 70-20, keeping their overall record at an unblemished 4-0.

Canton solidified themselves as one of the best swimming teams, if not the best in Section X with the win on Friday night. Canton won first in every event against Massena. They started out with winning the 200 medley relay and never looked back for the remainder of the night.

Alexis Stuntz won the 200 freestyle with an impressive time of 2:10.91. Maya Thomas not far behind her with a time of 2:24.68 winning her second place. Skyler Sanderson with a solid performance for the Bears, earning first for the Bears in the 500 freestyle and the 200 Individual Medley with times of 6:01.46 and 2:41.13 respectively. To cap off the meet even though Massena did not put together a group for the 400 Freestyle Relay the Bears still finished strong with a first place time of 4:35.95. Overall this was a solid meet for the Bears and they head into next week on a hot streak against the Blue Devils.
