On a beautiful sports hall of fame weekend, the modified girls team got to play their home game against Potsdam on the varsity field. They had a couple girls out sick for their last game, so it was nice to have everyone back. The team played well, improving on offensive playmaking and keeping the ball in their offensive third.

They were able to capitalize on three goals for the win. Madison Ayrassian had two goals during the first half. Her first was a shot from top of the 18-yard box and her second was scored off of a direct kick. Then Ashlyn Beeles scored the final goal for the Bears late during the second half off a nice give and go play from one of her teammates.
Their second game was against Salmon River and the Bears were nervous the rain was going to get them, but it only sprinkled a little and the team got to enjoy playing their game under a rainbow! Canton came out strong and kept high pressure on the Shamrocks throughout the game. The Shamrocks were able to score a goal during the early minutes of the first half, but the Bears rebounded and scored three goals to win the game. Elena Abplanalp scored the Bear’s first goal during the second quarter to tie the game up 1-1 at half. Then Ashlyn Beeles scored from the corner of the 18-yard box and Madison Ayrassian scored off of a fast break to win the game 3-1.
