Canton 3, Brushton-Moira 1
To cap off the week, the Bears traveled to Brushton-Moira to take on the Panthers. Canton came out victorious on Thursday night, launching their resume to an impressive 6-0.
To start off the night the Bears dominated in the first set, winning 25-4 against the Wildcats. It seemed that the Bears would be on an easy path to another win. But it was just the opposite, when the Wildcats fired back winning the second set 25-22. But despite the efforts of the Wildcats, the Bears prevailed winning the next two sets 25-20 and 25-12 to seal the victory for the Bears.
“The team worked hard against a scrappy opponent and were able to secure a win with multiple players in different positions,” Wentworth said after the game. “The girls are very supportive of each other and that helps drive their success.”
This win pushes the Bears to an undefeated 6-0 as they look to keep it rolling next week.
