Injury Plagued Bears Overpowered by Blue Devils

On Saturday the Golden Bears hosted Ogdensburg in their home opener. The Bears were missing their of their senior captains in James Bailey, Nick Button, and David Zuhlsdorf.

The Bears struggled defensively by giving up five touchdowns and 343 yards. Leading the Bears in tackles was Junior linebacker Caleb Murcray and Junior safety Carter Shatraw with six each. Shatraw also had a forced fumble.

Offensively, the Bears gained 109 yards led by Senior halfback Erich Zuhlsdorf who ran for 33 and caught a 37 yard pass from Sophomore quaterback Charlie Todd who ran for 16 and threw for 53.

The Bears will play next at home against the Malone Huskies on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 11 a.m.
