In Canton’s pool on Tuesday night the Bears took on the Massena Red Raiders. Canton won the meet 121-41 in dominant fashion as they extend their record shattering win streak.
Canton has been the trendsetter for all of Section X for 10+ years now. And from the looks of it they are not stopping anytime soon. On Tuesday night in the pool it was humid and loud, with chants from the fans bouncing off the walls and swimmers knifing through the water with precision. Canton won first place in every event with all of the Bears’ swimmers giving it their all and multiple dominating in their races.
Canton is a pretty young team but they thrive off the competition and push each other to be the best they can. Maya Thomas yet again led the charge for the Bears, clinching first in all of the events she swam in. She has been on this team for years now and knows the level to hold the other younger swimmers to.
The Bears look to extend their win streak on Wednesday, Sept. 21 against the Malone Huskies at 6 p.m. in Canton.
