The Canton boys JV Soccer team pushed there record to 5-0 on the season by defeating the Franklin Academy Huskies in Malone on Saturday morning by the score of 1-0.
The young Bears again played a strong defensive game anchored by Paul Redfern, JJ Ahlfeld, Daniel Creurer, Caleb Hartmann, and Goalie, Zadok Roiger. The Canton offense had numerous chances to score but just couldn’t connect. The only goal of the game was scored by Caleb Hartmann in the second half on a penalty shot to give Canton the victory.
“We will get better offensively. We have a lot of young guys playing up front for us. They are all very athletic and working hard so I know good will start to come soon.” said Coach Mike Wentworth
The Bears will face the Massena Raiders on Tuesday at home. Game time is scheduled for 4:30.
