The Canton Modified Baseball Team ran its record to 9-0 with a 16-3 win over Lisbon at home Saturday.
The Bears had 15 hits, including seven doubles, in powering past the Golden Knights. They also drew three walks and reached on error five times.
Jackson Ames was 3-for-4 with three doubles, four runs scored and two runs batted in. Zadok Roiger was also 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI.
Mat Bradish-Hayes was 2-for-3, reached base all four times and scored four runs. Charlie Todd was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBI. Paul Redferm was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. JJ Ahlfeld, Jack Parker and Shoham Zuker each had a hit, with Zuker knocking in two runs.
Roiger started on the mound and went four innings for the victory, giving up one hit with a hit batsman and a walk. He struck out 10. Redfern went an inning-plus of relief, giving up three runs on two hits, with four walks and two strikeouts. Ames finished the last two innings, giving up one walk and striking out four.
Canton travels to Malone for a game at Monday at 4:30 p.m.
