Courtney Peters winds up for the pitch!

Junior Courtney Peters made her first start in the circle for the Bears and came away with a six strikeout, two-walk No Hitter.  “Courtney threw great today and pounded the strike zone all game.  She was very impressive in her first start of the season.  Coach Mike Wentworth  stated, “offensively, we pounded the ball for the second day in a row by collecting 16 hits as a team”.  The big blow of the game came in the second inning when Hadley Alguire hit a Grand Slam over the fence.  “She has peppered that fence for the last two years.  I am glad she finally ate her spinach and got one over”,  stated Wentworth.
