The Canton Bears Varsity Baseball team beat Potsdam, 9-1.
The Bears squeaked in runs here and there over the course of 7 innings, but no one inning was too far in the Bears’ favor. Sam Roiger pitched a solid four innings, allowing only one run, and Daven Lafaver came in to close out the game and get the save.
The Bears again produced up and down the lineup, and the Bears bench got to play and hit. Connor Miller singled and drove in a run off the bench. Sam Roiger contributed offensively, hitting the ball hard and getting on base.
Canton plays Saturday, 10 a.m. at Salmon River.
