The Canton JV girls softball team lost a close game last night to Gouverneur by a score of 5-6. Canton took the early lead in the first three innings but the Wildcats clawed back and ended up finishing the game with the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Leading the offense for Bears was Chloe Baxter with two hits and Maya Thomas, Marilisa Salvi-Miguel both had one hit apiece Faith Christy added two runs for the Bears. Defensively Tessa Alguire pitched a complete game striking out 11.
