On Wednesday evening in Brasher, Canton 7 SLC 5 (10 Innings)
The game of the year took place in Brasher on Wednesday night squaring off two of the top teams in the section.
The Bears were up 3-1 going into the 7th inning when the Larries tied it up to force it into extra innings. Olivia Sero then hit a solo homerun to put the Bears back on top for good as they finished the 7-5 win in 10 innings.

Ava Hoy started in the circle and pitched seven innings, only allowing one hit and striking out 13. Hadley Alguire pitched the final three to pick up the win striking out five.
Offensively, along with Sero’s homerun, Cate and Lucy DeCoteau each smacked two hits. Cate came away with three RBI’s.
The Bears will be home on Friday when the Edwards Knox Cougars come to town for a 3:30 start time.
