The Bears varsity volleyball team remains unbeaten with a win at home Thursday against Gouverneur. Canton claimed three straight sets, posting scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-9.
Playing before an energetic student fan section, Canton rode on the crowd electricity delivering their typical dynamic playing style throughout the game.
Hitter Katie Bennett contributed 14 kills, 4 aces, 1 dig and served up 5 points while hitter Ava Hoy posted 8 kills, 7 aces, 2 blocks and a dig. Hoy also served up 6 points. Setter Mattigan Porter had 18 assists, 10 aces, 1 kill, and added 5 serving points.
The girls continue to bring it every game and surely will work hard to maintain their position at the top of their division.
Come out to support the Bears at home on Tuesday evening when they’ll face Brushton Moira. Game time is 6 pm.
