Canton varsity volleyball team remains unbeaten with another win, this one at home Monday evening against Massena. The Bears scored 25-12, 25-15 and 25-14.
With seven seniors making up most of the team, their experience and comfort level on the court brings out the best each and every game.
Hitter Katie Bennett provided 15 kills, 3 digs, 4 aces and served 7 points. Setter Mattigan Porter had 18 assists, and handed out 4 aces and a kill. Middle hitter Makayla Douglas, opposite hitter Riley Taylor, libero Jade Stevenson and middle hitter Julianna Richardson all contributed with seven kills between them. Stevenson also played well defensively with 10 digs. Defensive specialist Alyssa Jacob served up 6 points, along with a kill and an ace.
Sophomore hitter Ava Hoy had 10 kills and 2 aces. Junior setter Courtney Peters had a kill, 3 assists and a dig.
The Bears will look to add another win this evening when they head to Salmon River with a 6:30 pm start time.
