Canton Bears Varsity Volleyball continued their winning streak Tuesday with a 3-0 win at home
over Madrid-Waddington. The first set the girls won 25-8 and the remaining two they posted a
score of 25-13.
The girls come to every game ready to play and Tuesday was no different. Their preparedness along with their collective love for the sport are propelling their success thus far. Setter Mattigan Porter had another strong night with 6 aces, 10 assists and 20 total points served.
Opposite Hitter Riley Taylor also showed up, with 5 aces, 3 digs, 1 kill and 12 total points served. Other strong contributors were hitters Ava Hoy, Katie Bennett and Julianna Richardson with 8, 7 and 3 kills respectively. Hoy also served 5 aces.
The Bears play next on Friday evening at Clifton-Fine with a 6:00 pm start time.
