Tonight the Canton Bears Varsity Volleyball Team heads to Potsdam to play their rival. Coming into tonight’s game, they have two wins behind them, against Gouverneur and OFA. The game will be streamed live via the NFHS Network at this link https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/events/potsdam-senior-high-school-potsdam-ny/gamfac4f8bebb
The girls have a solid roster with a team unity that is obvious when they are on the court. Each player brings something uniquely different to the game.
With seven seniors, with loads of playing experience, this team is well oiled. Their skill level has been honed with years of playing from modified to Varsity, as well as several volleyball camps between them. A dedication to the game is clear. Coach Carla Wentworth is confident she has a good team. “The team is eager to return to a full schedule and gain experience after the shortened season last year. The team is well rounded with a variety of dynamic players and athleticism. They are a cohesive group who help each other out and show the true meaning of teamwork. They play with enthusiasm, energy and have the ability to attack from all areas of the court. It will be an exciting team to follow and see what they can accomplish.”
