Three Golden Bears found their first career goal on Tuesday, on their way to a 16-3 rout over Potsdam.  Seniors Sky Kennedy, Parker Hunt and sophomore Cody Francis found the back of the net in a lopsided effort by the Golden Bears.

Kennedy and Parker, both defenseman, shortened their sticks up and were able to create on the offensive side of the ball.  Kennedy and Parker weren’t the only seniors finding the back of the net Tuesday.  Charlie Grandaw finished the game with two goals and one assist, Dalton Francis had a goal and assist of his own while Aiden Hoose finished with one goal and four assists.

It was a well rounded effort on both sides of the ball for the Bears.  Senior Peter Coakley was supreme in his effort, playing both close defense and long stick middie for the Bears.

Attackman Daniel Mahoney opened the scoring of the game on his way to a four goal performance. Sophomore attackman Nolan Bombard had a hat trick of his own as well as an assist to Sky Kennedy.  The seniors all shared player of the game honors on the evening, contributing in a multitude of ways, some in positions on the field new to them.

The Bears finished the regular season undefeated at home and pushed their conference record to 11-1.

The Bears receive a first round bye in sectional playoffs and will await the winner of the 6-3 matchup yet to be determined.  Their first sectional playoff game will be held at Canton Central on Monday, June 14th game time 5 p.m.
