Canton 72 Potsdam 29 The Canton Girls JV Basketball team moved to 5-0 on the abbreviated season by beating Potsdam 72-29 in their last home game of the season. Lindsey Filiatrault led all scorers with a career high 22 points. Also having good scoring nights for the young Bears were Calie Klassen 19, Hadley Alguire 14, Winnie Downs 9 and Etta Coburn 8 points. “We struggled putting points on the board yesterday against Heuvelton but today it seemed like everything we threw up went in. We have shown a lot of improvement over the last few weeks. This is a hard working group of girls who just seems to have fun playing together.” Stated Canton Head Coach Mike Wentworth The junior Bears will travel to Heuvelton on Wednesday to play in their last game of the season.
