JV Hoopers Finish Season Undefeated

Canton 45  Heuvelton 28   The Canton JV Girls Basketball team wrapped up an undefeated season on Wednesday night by out scoringthe Bulldogs 45-28.    The Bears were led in scoring by eighth grader Vivian Coburn who chipped in ten points and older sister Etta who added seven points to the winning cause.  Rounding out the scoring was Winnie Downs six points, Calie Klassen and Olivia Sero netted five points apiece for the Cubs. Leading the Bulldogs in scoring was Lakan Martin who had 9 points in the game.    “This was a great group of girls to coach.  They made every practice and game fun and the improvements they  made over the last four weeks has been incredible” stated coach Mike Wentworth    The young Bears finished off the Covid shortened season with a perfect 6-0 record.
