Canton made the journey to Massena to play the Red Raiders Wednesday night, losing 5-1. A Division I rival, both teams were fired up to play each other. Massena struck first due to a lapse in the Canton defense, making it 1-0. Canton quickly retaliated, and 8 seconds later Rhett Palmer tied it up. Daniel Mahoney and Scott Ahlfeld picked up the assists. That was a high point for Canton, as even though they out shot the Raiders in the second and third, Canton found four unanswered goals in the back of their net.
Canton played Ogdensburg at home on Friday, losing 4-1. OFA struck first scoring on a 4-on-3 power play after a scrum that resulted in two majors and a game misconduct. The Blue Devils led by one until Rhett Palmer scored on a Canton power play. Peter Coakley and Connor Snell assisted Palmers goal. Historically, the second period has been troublesome for the Bears, and OFA was no different. The Blue Devils piled on 2 more in the second and 1 more in the third to win 4-1.
