Canton Wrestlers recently participated in the Andersen Memorial Tournament on December 7th and the General Brown Duals on December 14th.
The Bears finished 14th out of 19 teams at the Andersen and fourth out of six at General Brown finishing with a 2-3 record. The Bears’ line up is still short a few wrestlers who should return to action in the coming week to help bolster their scoring.
Top performers at the Andersen were Randy Clifford, Keenan LeBeouf Davis and David Zuhlsdorf at 2-2 and Matt Haycook who went 3-0 as the 113 lb. weight class Champion.
Top performers at General Brown were David Zuhlsdorf at 3-2, Randy Clifford at 4-1 and Keenan LeBeouf Davis and Matt Haycook who both finished the day at 5-0. Matt Haycook received a Tournament Most Outstanding Wrestler Award with 3 pins and a win over a NYS top 10 ranked opponent.
