On Saturday, September 26 the Bears faced the Malone Huskies at home. The Bears had a solid drive this game and didn’t quit until the very end. Unfortunately, it still ended up in a loss for the Bears with a final score of 12-6.
The Bears started off the game strong with an intense motivation coming off of last week’s win. Malone started with a touchdown in the beginning of the first quarter, however the Bears never lost the energy to keep going.
Throughout the game the Bears united front stayed visible to all who were watching. They kept their heads held high throughout the game even when it may have been tough at times.
With some calls that didn’t work in the Bears favor they still worked to get the ball in the Huskies end zone.
That determination was rewarded, with a touchdown late in the game from captain and quarterback Ben Kenna. The Bears were now on the scoreboard. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t enough to pull out a win in this game. The Bears fought until the bitter end once again displaying their perseverance.
Up until the last 15 seconds of the game the Bears worked to get another touchdown that would tie the game. This loss however does not define the Bears work ethic. It was very clear how motivated the Bears were working and how strong this team is. Even if this game didn’t go the way the Bears wanted it to, the teamwork and fortitude that they held throughout the whole game will help them further down the road to get more wins. There is no doubt that this team works hard and it will benefit them hard in the long run.
The Bears are set to play again on Saturday, October 3rd at Massena.
