On Saturday, the Bears took on Tupper Lake at home and had a phenomenal game. The game started off with a touchdown from Hayden Krepel which set the tone for the rest of the game leading to a 45-7 win.
The Bears never lost their drive throughout the game and kept pushing. They worked together to get the win they have been wanting for weeks.
Even with minor setbacks the Bears didn’t let that affect them and their motivation. The hunger they had on the field was extreme. They had Captain Ben Kenna as quarterback this game, he filled that role exceptionally well and was a strong addition to the position while Trey Klassen is out on injury.
The defense throughout this game kept pushing Tupper Lake back and rarely let them through, and when they did they made sure not to let them go far.
When it came down to scoring the Bears were on fire. It was touchdown after touchdown for the Bears and after every one the energy climbed higher and higher. The Captains, Murphy Burke, Ben Kenna, TJ O’Brian, and JT TeRiele continued to lead the team on the field, motivating them and supporting them throughout the entire game.
Even with Tupper Lake’s aggressive attitude, the boys never lost their cool and kept the game classy. It sounds repetitive, but teamwork truly is the backbone of this team. Throughout the whole game the crowd saw the Bears uplifting one another and truly enjoying playing with each other.
As Coach Chad Kenna mentioned previously, “staying united is a key factor.” That is what they did leading to this victory.
The Bears deserved this win and worked extremely hard for it. This boost will help them throughout the rest of their season and added a positive drive going forward.
The Bears are set to play again on Saturday, September 26, against Malone at home at 1:30 p.m.
