Jenna Larrabee Connects For Her 5th Homerun Of The Year

The Golden Bears hosted the Ogdensburg Blue Devils in the Class B Semi Finals on Wednesday afternoon at Ike Noble Fields. The winner advancing to the Finals on Saturday morning at St. Lawrence University against the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers who beat Salmon River 2-1 earlier in the day.
The Blue Devils scored the first run of the game and then Canton went on to score fifteen unanswered runs on their way to an 18-3 win. The offensive stars of the game for the Bears were Jenna Larrabee (3-4, HR, 4 RBI) who hit her fifth homerun of the season off the top of the scoreboard, Elle White (4-5, double, 3 RBI) who had a four hit game and Tessa Alguire (2-2, Triple, HR) who smacked a lead off triple and her seventh homerun of the season.

Alguire also picked up the win in the circle striking out five in four innings of work. White finished the game out throwing the final two frames, striking out two.
“We are in a good place right now. We wanted to get back to the finals and that is where we are at. Its always a good atmosphere at SLU and I really hope we can get a big crowd out to watch on Saturday. As far as todays game, we hit a couple homeruns out of the yard. That used to be something that didn’t happen very often but now I am surprised if we don’t hit one. On another note congrats to the Canton Baseball team who also reached the Finals by beating Gouverneur today. That group of boys has had a nice year.
