Carla Wentworth’s JV Bears remain undefeated with nearly 2/3 of the season completed and are looking to finish strong in their remaining contests of the season. The Bears have amassed 121 runs to their opponents 66 while the pitching duo of Grace Dana and Lily Todd have combined for a total of 74 strikeouts (27, 47) over 46 innings.
The 2025 team returns only 5 players from the 2025 campaign, including ninth graders Grace Dana, Grace Dollman and Lily Todd and tenth graders Kaydence Ashley and Zoey Zebedee. Joining them are ninth graders Hallee Bullock, Maddie Delosh, Emma Mousaw, Savannah Shaw, Taylor Stone, Hailey Thompson and Jennica Trombley as well as tenth graders Ashey Aldous, Kaidence Daniels, Paige Godwin and Kaydence Locke.
Coach Wentworth attributes the Bears success to a team first mentality, stating “We’ve had a great season so far with everyone adding something positive towards the team’s success. Our pitching has been solid and defensively we have made plays to keep the opponents off the scoreboard. Offensively our bats have produced several big hits throughout the lineup which creates action on the bases. It seems like someone different makes a big play each game which makes this team hard to defend. They all work together for a common goal and help each other out. Several new players have shown tremendous improvement and leadership from the veterans is keeping the team solid.”
