The Canton Golden Bears finished an eye opening three game week with style by shutting out Franklin Academy 15-0. Elle White and Tessa Alguire combined for a three hit, 12 strikeout gem. White picked up the win in the circle throwing five strong innings, striking out ten.

Jenna Larrabee (3-5), White (3-5, 2B, 3B) and Emma Bradish-Hayes (3-4, 4 SB) paced the offense Friday night for Canton. Alguire also produced an RBI double to help in the winning cause.
“Today our defense and pitching was outstanding. Today was our first shutout of the season, it shows that our pitchers are starting to get in a groove. We also had a couple hitters that had a good day at the plate. Its was great to see Emma Bradish-Hayes swing the bat with confidence today, picking up 3 hits. When she gets on base we seem to score runs. It was a good week and it will be nice to have a couple days off before way travel to Potsdam on Tuesday” From Coach Mike Wentworth
