Modified Bears Soccer drop games, bounce back with win over OFA

The Moddy Golden Bears Soccer team went through their toughest stretch of the season, facing Massena, Malone and Gouverneur and dropping all 3 games. However, the Bears did flash moments of skill and perseverance in the 3 contests. In Gouverneur, the Bears quickly went down 3-0 and battled back to make it a 3-2 final. In Massena, the Bears who were beaten 6-0 weeks ago, were able to stave off Massena’s offense and take a 0-0 tie into halftime. At home for Malone, the Bears found a number of scoring chances but came up unlucky and were unable to find the back of the net, falling 3-0.

When OFA came to town, the young Bears were compelled to get back on the winning side. Forwards Ayden Mousaw, Omar Veknach and Orion Gomez all found the net for the Bears, who went on to win 3-2.

The Moddy Bears are back in action this Tuesday (10/14) as they travel to OFA to finish up the home and home series. Kickoff scheduled for 4:30pm at Madill Elementary.
