The Canton Golden Bears Peewee Football Camp had its most successful year yet, drawing more than 70 young athletes—nearly doubling last year’s total of 40 participants. The impressive growth reflects the community’s enthusiasm for the sport and the strong reputation the camp has built.

This year’s camp focused on teaching safe tackling techniques, building fundamental football skills, and fostering a love for the game. It welcomed both newcomers eager to learn the basics and returning players looking to shake off the rust before the season kicks off.
Coaches and current varsity players worked closely with the kids to ensure every player left with more confidence, better skills, and an even greater excitement for football. The energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed throughout the camp showcased the bright future of Golden Bears football.

Head Varsity Coach and Camp Director Rico Dobbs stated:
I feel truly blessed to be part of a community that believes in and supports the Golden Bears Peewee Football Camp. A special thank you goes to Mr. and Mrs. Bush and Coach Kenna for their outstanding leadership and dedication, as well as to the 15–20 current varsity players who generously volunteered their time to help run drills and mentor the younger athletes. I’m also deeply grateful to our program staff, who showed up every day to make this camp a success. This is truly a team effort, and our kids are better for it.
With this year’s success, the Canton Golden Bears Peewee Football Camp continues to grow as a cornerstone for developing young talent and building the next generation of players.
