The Canton Golden Bears have again achieved a remarkably successful spring both in the classroom and on the field, course and track. In the classroom we have seen the largest graduating class of senior student-athletes of distinction ever as twenty-nine individuals earned this designation. Equally impressive we listed the largest number of student-athletes (nineteen) earn the prestigious “Golden Bear” distinction having participated in high school athletics for all four years and all three seasons.
The Bears have enjoyed three league championship teams, four section championship teams, six Section X MVP’s, and eighteen individuals who qualified for the state championships in their respective sports. To cap it off we saw a boys 400 meter relay team break a school record and a girls lacrosse team advance to the NYSPHSAA Championship game. This was the first time in Section X and school hsitory.
