Wednesday, May 6 – Canton 15, Salmon River 2
The Golden Bears made quick work of the Shamrocks at home last week, spreading the scoring across their offense in the process.
Senior attacker Josh Ayrassian led the way for the Bears, registering four goals and two assists. His effort was followed up by senior attacker Josh Mclear, who added three goals.
Midfielders Colden Francey, Ben Kenna, and Jack Garcia all scored twice, while Francey also chipped in two assists and Garcia had a lone helper.
Midfielder Ty Farns and attacker Hayden Towle each scored once, with Towle adding two assists and Farns adding one. Midfielder Daniel Creurer registered two assists, and midfielder Devin Robert added a single assist. Creurer also won seven faceoffs.
Canton’s goaltenders Matthew Schwartfigure and Nate Berkman combined for eight saves in the contest.
Saturday, May 10 – Canton 12, Saranac Lake Placid 6
A trip to the Adirondacks resulted in another win for the Golden Bears.

Ayrassian and Farns were the only multi-goal scorers for the Bears in the weekend contest. Ayrassian scored three goals and Farns added a pair.
Mclear, Towle, Creurer, Francey, junior defender David Seymour, junior midfielder Jack Brandy, and senior midfielder Carter Lesperance each had a solo tally. Mclear added two assists, and senior midfielder Caleb Harmann had an assist.
Both Schwartfigure and Berkman saw time in goal in the game, combining for five saves.

Monday, May 12 – Canton 14, St. Lawrence Central 7
After a slow start and a tie game at halftime, the boys varsity lacrosse team managed nine unanswered goals to down the St. Lawrence Central Larries.
Canton’s offense was firing the ball, but mostly missing the net on Monday night. Despite the misses, several players registered multiple goals for the Golden Bears.
Farns led the way for the Bears, notching four goals and chipping in two assists.
Creurer and Towle both scored three goals, while Towle added four assists and Creurer added one.
Ayrassian potted two goals and added an assist. Ayrassian’s second tally of the game was his 100th career goal in the Brown and Gold.
Mclear scored a lone goal, as did sophomore long stick midfielder Grady Nee. Mclear also registered two assists in the contest.
Midfielder Tyler Lovely added two assists for the Bears, while Hartmann also added a helper.
Creurer was solely responsible for faceoffs in the game, winning 15 for the Golden Bears.
With a 10-3 record, the Bears sit in third place in Section X, behind only Massena and the undefeated Ogdensburg Free Academy Blue Devils.
