The JV girls basketball team took on the Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets on the road on Monday night in Madrid. The young team played great defense in the opening and ending quarters but were unable to hold off M-W for the loss. Zayda Gaurin scored five points and had five rebounds, followed by Elise Harris with four points and four rebounds.
The Bears are back in action on Friday at 7 p.m. at Canton High School.
