The Bears volleyball team displayed resilience and determination in their latest playoff matchup, overcoming an initial setback to defeat Tupper Lake 3-1 and secure a spot in the championship game.
The game began with a rocky start for the Bears as they dropped the first set, struggling to find their rhythm against a strong offensive push from the Lumberjacks. Miscommunication and a few unforced errors put them behind, giving their opponents the early lead. However, the Bears quickly regrouped and adjusted their strategy, determined not to let the first set dictate the match’s outcome.

In the second set, the Bears came out with renewed energy. They established control early on, but only clinched the set by 2 with a score of 25-23. Their momentum only built from there as they continued to refine their teamwork and execution, overpowering the opposition in the third set.

By the fourth set, the Bears were unstoppable. They pushed forward with confidence and intensity, shutting down their opponents’ attempts to rally back. Elle White served the final ace, securing the Bears’ 3-1 victory.
With this hard-fought win, the Bears advance to the championship game, where they’ll aim to bring home the Class C title.
