The Canton volleyball team secured an emphatic second consecutive victory last night, sweeping Tupper Lake in three straight sets: 25-20, 25-14 and 25-10. The team delivered a commanding performance, showcasing both offensive power and defensive precision.

Leading the charge were a number of key players: Elle White, who racked up an impressive 11 kills and 2 blocks, leaving the opposing team struggling to find answers. Haley Perrin controlled the pace with exceptional serving, recording 5 aces, while setter, Zoey Zebedee orchestrated the attack with 7 assists and 15 successful serves.

“We came in focused, and it showed on the court,” said Coach Wentworth. “The team played at a high level from start to finish, and our ability to control the tempo and stay aggressive was key.”

The victory not only marked the team’s second straight win but also further solidified their standing in the league. With excellent teamwork and relentless pressure, the Bears quickly dominated the match, making it difficult for the opposing Lumber Jacks to gain any momentum.

The team will look to continue their winning streak in their next game against Salmon River on Tuesday, October 1st when they will finally be back on their home court. Fans are eager to see if Canton can extend their impressive run as they push toward the playoffs.
