Modified softball won their home opener Wednesday night against the Malone Huskies by a score of 16-12. This improves their record to 1-1. Bella Doughty, Zoey Zebedee, and Hallee Bullock all recorded hits in the game. Grace Dollman and Zebedee each scored three runs, Hailey Thompson, Taylor Stone, and Doughty added two runs a piece. Rounding out the scoring was Grace Dana, Matayah Reed, Kaydence Ashley, and Bullock each with one run scored.
Pitching duties were shared between Dana and Zebedee. Dana pitched 4 ⅔ innings striking out 9. Zebedee pitched 2 ⅓ innings striking out 3.
The Golden Bears will be back in action on Tuesday, May 7 hosting the Norwood- Norfolk Flyers. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30.
